Dovecot Middlesbrough

Today I’ve got another local gem for you all that I’m sure you’re going to love! One of the latest businesses to open its doors to the North East is Dovecot Bar which is located on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough. Situated across the road from the ever-popular duo of streets – Baker Street and Bedford Street, Dovecot is in a prime location for a couple of drinks with your friends on an evening. Boasting Middlesbrough’s longest bar and 40 different gins to choose from, it’s a newfound haven for anyone who loves a socialable gin and tonic. Although I’m yet to visit Dovecot on a bustling evening, I have been a couple of times during its first month of opening to sample their food menu and it’s definitely one to try!  View Post

Macy Browns Cocktail Masterclass - Rasputin

My favourite place for a couple of cool cocktails and a catch up with my friends has got to be Macy Browns in Middlesbrough. The vibe is amazing, playing funky old school music with a mix of soul and Motown, I just can’t get enough of the laidback vibe it brings to the town centre. Last Wednesday I went along with three of my friends for a cocktail masterclass to celebrate one of the girl’s birthdays. Today I’m sharing our experience with you and how you can grab this experience for less than a tenner!  View Post

The Baker Street Kitchen

Middlesbrough is quickly becoming the place to be when it comes to dining out. With the fast growth from neighbourly streets, Baker Street and Bedford Street, independent businesses are booming. Offering a combination of wonderful eateries and quaint shops, there’s no better place to visit whilst in the town. A place I’ve been wanting to try for a while is The Baker Street Kitchen which is located on the corner of Baker Street nearby centre square. After hearing rave reviews of their all day breakfast menu I knew I wanted to try the food for myself.  View Post

Smoklahoma at Stewart Park Farmers Market

A few Sundays ago, me and Ross decided to have a wander down to Stewart Park for the farmers’ market that takes place on the last Sunday of every month. We live in a little village called Ormesby which is home to the beautiful Ormesby Hall and St Cuthberts church making a lovely scenic route for us to walk to Stewart Park. I’ve lived in Ormesby my whole life and I’m still amazed by the beauty that is available to me right on my doorstep. Anyway, you’re here to read about the farmers’ market so let’s get to it!  View Post

Natalie Kennan - North East Makeup Artist

Today’s post is all about one of my closest friends, Natalie Keenan. You might have seen me mention her in my Charlotte Tilbury post a couple of months back, you know the one where Charlotte Tilbury said she should come and work for her?! Yep! Although Natalie’s always loved experimenting with her own makeup and trying looks out on her friends, it wasn’t until the Charlotte Tilbury event that she decided to take the step towards making her dream of becoming a professional makeup artist a reality.  View Post
