Travel Diary: 48 hours in Paris, France

Effiel Tower Paris, France
After scrolling through my draft posts I came across this one from my birthday trip to Paris in 2017 and thought I’d finally finish it off and publish it. For my 25th birthday, my mam had booked for us to stay two nights in London to see the Royal Variety Performance followed by two nights in Paris, where I travelled on the Eurostar for the first time. Having never visited Paris before I was excited to explore the city and spend some quality time with my mam. As we were only there for a short period of time, we had to cram in as much as we could. Today I’m sharing what we got up to during the 48 hours we were in the French capital. View Post

A Luxury Boutique Stay at Hotel 7 on Gardiner Row | Central Dublin, Ireland

Hotel 7 Gardiner Row Dublin Ireland 1

A couple of weeks ago the surprise I’d been planning for Adam’s birthday finally came to light and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I decided to book a weekend break in the city that is best known for its invention of its famous Irish stout – Guinness (Adam’s fave). Together with the quirky Irish pubs, great shopping districts and cheap flights, Dublin seemed to tick all of the boxes and was somewhere new for us to explore together. It was absolutely worth the wait and the anxiety of planning a trip overseas without him knowing anything about it. Today I wanted to share the details of the hotel we stayed in as it exceeded my expectations in every way. View Post

Winter Sunsets at The Monkey Bar | Berlin, Germany

Bikini Berlin Germany

As we approach the busiest time of the year for me with my birthday and Christmas celebrations coming up, I’ve been reminiscing on last year’s trips and excitement that accompanied the winter months. Last year I had the pleasure of visiting Winter Wonderland and attending the Royal Variety Performance in London, I got the ferry to Amsterdam and my final holiday of the year was a 4 day trip to Berlin. Looking back on my photos from Berlin there’s so much I still need to share with you all, I’ve simply not had the chance to! Today I’m talking about one of the highlights from my trip to Berlin and a must for any of you visiting the German city in the near future.  View Post

The Best Christmas Markets to Visit in Berlin, Germany

Berlin christmas decorations at the markets

Today’s post was supposed to be one to get people in the Christmas spirit and for me to reflect on the amazing trip I had to Berlin last month. Unfortunately this post is overshadowed by the horrific terror attack that took place at the Christmas market in Breitscheidplatz on Monday night. After being at that exact market just three weeks ago, it sends chills through me and has really stopped me in my tracks for writing what was supposed to be an exciting post. Whilst in Berlin, the capital of Germany, it felt like one of the safest cities I’ve ever been to. My heart goes out to the poor victims who were wrongly killed so close to Christmas and to all who were injured. I wish the cruelty in this world would just stop; just when you think we’re over the worst, something else comes along to cause more tragedy.  View Post

On Friday I’ll be jetting off to Berlin to explore the city and visit the Christmas markets – I’m so excited! To help me prepare for my trip and to shed a little light on the history of Berlin, I’ve got a guest post from travel blogger, Andrew, who blogs over at Wanderlust 15. I hope you enjoy reading his post on how to spend 24 hours in Berlin as much as I did!  View Post
