DIY | A Personal Anniversary Keepsake

DIY Anniversary GiftMonday marked my mam and dad’s 30th wedding anniversary. It feels like it was only last week that we were having a joint party to celebrate their 25th anniversary and my 18th birthday, oh how time flys! 30 years is known as the year of the pearl which is a massive achievement, especially nowadays when people just don’t seem to try anymore and break at the first hurdle they hit together.

Here’s a quote that shows how times have changed over the years: Relationship Quote

To mark my parent’s Pearl wedding anniversary, I decided to make them something personal, something they can keep and remember how many wonderful memories they have shared together.

I bought a multi-aperture photo frame and used Google Maps to pin-point some of their most memorable places including the town where they first bought a house together, the place they went on their honeymoon and their family home. Of course, it seemed appropriate to include a lovely photo from their wedding day to brighten the picture up a bit. I then used some letter stamps and an ink pad to caption each part of the photo.

I love getting creative and really enjoyed making this gift for my mam and dad which they really appreciated.

What do you think? Do you like to get creative when it comes to gift-giving?
