Beauty | Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara Review

Rimmel Wake Me Up Mascara

I’m always on the lookout for a new mascara that lives up to its promise to provide fuller, longer and clump-free lashes, but then again, who isn’t? Over the past couple of months I’ve been using the Wonder-Full Wake Me Up mascara from Rimmel London which I believe brings something different to the market.

In recent months, I’ve been ditching the mascara on weekdays and saving it for weekends and evenings when I’ve got plans. I have a 9-5 office job and find myself rubbing my eyes quite often so wearing mascara isn’t ideal as it just ends up down my face.

Moving onto the product itself, I was drawn to this one by Rimmel because of its mirrored green packaging which is very appealing in the eyes of a magpie like me! I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and it’s priced affordably at a mere £7.99.

Although it’s in the name, I didn’t actually think the mascara would ‘wake me up’, however it actually does! Unlike most other mascaras, this one has a fresh fragrance of cucumber and is packed with vitamins which make it light and refreshing. Believe it or not, I can actually feel my eyes waking up during application.

The wand is beautifully curved which helps volumize the lashes whilst keeping them clump-free. Following one coat from root to tip, the mascara provides a natural look which is great for wearing through the day. If you’re looking to enhance your lashes further, the product builds really well and the length you can get from it is pretty impressive.

I have sensitive eyes so when it comes to removing mascara, my eyes often sting depending on which ingredients are in the products I use. I’ve noticed that whilst I’ve been using the Wake Me Up mascara by Rimmel, my eyes haven’t suffered from any irritation.

Overall I really like the mascara, from the packaging and the wand down to the scent and the final result, I’m able to achieve a clump-free look with little effort.

What’s your favourite high street mascara at the moment?
