Last weekend I decided to head to Boots and take advantage of their triple points event by getting some hair and skincare products that will prepare me for the summer season. I haven’t bought anything for a while so I thought it was about time to try a few new products. Here’s what landed in my basket:
Garnier Nutrisse Creme in Light Mahogany Chestnut
Since getting my own house, I’ve had to cut down on my spending which has meant saying goodbye to hair salon visits and hello to home hair colouring. I’ve been using the Garnier Nutrisse range from some time now in mahogany dark brown but with summer creeping up on us I’ve decided to go a shade lighter. I love the warm, auburn tones in this hair colour and I’m looking forward to trying it out on my own hair.
Original Source Skin Quench Body Lotion in Lime and Coconut Oil
As a huge Original Source fan (their products smell so good!) I was intregied when I came across their skincare range. This purchase is going to be used when my body needs extra hydration after those long days of sun.
Palmer’s Natural Bronze Body Lotion
I can smugly say this smells good enough to eat just like the rest of the Palmer’s range. To prep my seriously pale skin that hasn’t seen sunlight for many months, I decided to try the Palmer’s gradual tanner to give me a natural glow for when summer finally arrives. Although I’ve only used it once so far, I can already see a noticeable difference which I’m really happy about.
Good Things Stay Clear Purifying Cleanser
I’ve been taking a break from my Clarisonic cleansing brush and as a result of this, my skin has been suffering from a few breakouts. I’ve been slowly making my way through the Good Things range and have been impressed so far with the quality and fragrance of their products. To help clear up my skin for summer I purchased their purifying cleanser which I’ll use alone until I buy some more brush heads for my Clarisonic. The mango and blueberry scent is gorgeous too!
Botanics Mattifying Gel Cream
One of my biggest loathes that accompanies the warm, sunny weather is greasy skin. To try and combat this problem, I’ll be using Botanics mattifying gel cream. I haven’t used this type of day cream before but I think the gel consistency will be refreshing in the summer whilst helping to disguise my shiny forehead.
Max Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless in Beige
I’ve been using this foundation by Max Factor for a while now and feel like it’s doing a good job considering its affordable price and the SPF 20 is an added bonus. I’m hoping to get kissed by the sun this year, so I’ve purchased a shade darker than my usual shade – warm almond.
How are you prepping for the summer? Are there any new products you want to try out?
