Since passing my driving test in 2010, I’ve bought three different cars. After getting to grips with driving on my own and acquiring my first full time job I decided to wave goodbye to my beloved first car, a Ford Fiesta, and treat myself to a brand new Fiat 500 straight from the showroom. Although my Fiat was my pride and joy during the time I had it, when it came to selling it in 2016 in exchange for something a little bigger, I was surprised and disappointed by how much my car had depreciated in value. Despite looking after it and it having an appealing low mileage, I struggled to get even half of what I paid for it just four years earlier. After this I vowed not to buy a brand new car again because it loses value as soon as you drive it out of the showroom. Bistrot Pierre Middlesbrough

Since opening its doors to the public last autumn, Bistrot Pierre has quickly became a favourite amongst the locals in Middlesbrough. Offering a sophisticated French dining experience that resembles the quaint restaurants and eateries around France, you can enjoy a taste of Parisian culture without the travel overseas. Earlier this month I was invited back to Bistrot Pierre to try the new Spring/Summer menu, I took this opportunity to have a family dinner with Adam and both our parents.  View Post

bakerdays letterbox cake

After an 8 months stint of working away, Adam’s just got a new job back at home. To celebrate, I ordered a letterbox cake from bakerdays* as a little surprise for him coming home. If you read my post about Bloom and Wild a while back, you’ll know I love receiving things through the post and when I came across bakerdays on Twitter a few months ago I loved the idea of receiving something edible through the letterbox. Intrigued on how a cake could stay intact whilst in transit, I placed an order and waited patiently for it to arrive.  View Post

Scream for Pizza

On the 21st of this month Adam and I went to the Bishop Auckland Food Festival for the second year running in hope to see our favourite pizza van as well as sample food from other local traders. We were praying for the freakish warm weather we’ve been having to stick around for us as we all know the sun makes a day out 100% better! The Bishop Auckland Food Festival is such a fun annual event especially if you’re a foodie like me so I thought I’d share my day with you from how we travelled there from Middlesbrough, what we ate and what we bought to take home with us. Bendelows Kitchen Fudge

On Monday I was invited along to a VIP tasting event to sample the delicious treats crafted up by Dominique Bendelow of Bendelow’s Kitchen. Displaying a grand selection of the many treats available as part of her catering and baking service, me and the other guests were able to sample bite sized portions of desserts which were dotted around throughout the gorgeous venue, The Artizan.
