Hot Pudding Tower The Six Medals

Last week me and my friends attended the preview evening at The Six Medals in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough. My friend’s brother works as a chef at the new Marston’s chain restaurant so we were able to get a sneak preview of the menu and sample the food before the pub opens its doors to the public on Monday 21st September 2015. If you’re from Teesside and wondering whether The Six Medals is worth a visit, keep on reading. View Post

North Yorkshire Moors

People are quick to judge when I say I’m from Middlesbrough. Voted the worst place to live in England in 2007 by the TV programme Location Location Location, the town hasn’t got a great reputation through the eyes of the media. In actual fact, the majority of people who bad name us either haven’t visited Middlesbrough or haven’t ventured much further than the town centre.  View Post

Canteen and Cocktails

Last week me and some friends headed to Norton to sample some cocktails and indulge in some barbecue themed food at Canteen and Cocktails. Norton is quickly becoming the new Yarm meaning it has some quirky eateries, posh cocktail bars and a canny little night life.  View Post

Abi Alton at The Olde Young Tea House

Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending my Sunday afternoon eating cake whilst listening to some local talent. The fabulously talented, Abi Alton, held an intimate gig at The Olde Young Tea House in Middlesbrough town centre to celebrate the launch of her new EP, Souvenirs, which is available for download on iTunes now. The North East Blogger Awards

Last month seen the launch of the North East Blogger Awards which celebrates bloggers in the North East of England. As my one year blog anniversary approaches (16th August, eek!), winning or even being shortlisted for one of these awards would top off my first year in blogging perfectly. This post gives you a bit more information on the awards and how you can vote.  View Post
