Since opening its doors to the public last autumn, Bistrot Pierre has quickly became a favourite amongst the locals in Middlesbrough. On Monday I was invited along to a VIP tasting event to sample the delicious treats crafted up by Dominique Bendelow of Bendelow’s Kitchen. Displaying a grand selection of the many treats available as part of her catering and baking service, me and the other guests were able to sample bite sized portions of desserts which were dotted around throughout the gorgeous venue, The Artizan.
As an avid watcher of the hit American show, Man Vs Food, I was excited when I heard we were getting our very own Man Vs Food restaurant right here in Middlesbrough. A couple of months ago I was sat in Uno Momentos on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough when I spotted two new shops over the road, one called The Cow Shed and another called One 59. It looked like they were making the finishing touches to both of the venues as they weren’t quite open yet so I decided to do a bit of digging when I got home. I found out the One 59 is a bar and The Cow Shed is a gourmet burger shack and they’re actually attached to one another.
