Cocktails at The Cow Shed Middlesbrough

A couple of months ago I was sat in Uno Momentos on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough when I spotted two new shops over the road, one called The Cow Shed and another called One 59. It looked like they were making the finishing touches to both of the venues as they weren’t quite open yet so I decided to do a bit of digging when I got home. I found out the One 59 is a bar and The Cow Shed is a gourmet burger shack and they’re actually attached to one another. As I’ve mentioned before, Adam and I have been on the hunt for the best burger so we were eager to give this one a try. Acropolis Greek Taverna Middlesbrough - Hummus and Tzatziki

The food scene in Middlesbrough is booming at the moment, brimming with a great deal of diverse eateries for us to sink our teeth into. Gone are the days of having to decide between the Weatherspoons or the mediocre Italian, we now have a huge selection of specialist restaurants to choose from including Turkish, Mexican, Caribbean and Greek. What’s even better is the food is as authentic as it comes, you could enter a restaurant and be transported to a different corner of the world and that’s what I adore about the food industry. It’s not just about the food, but the whole dining experience. View Post

Two Blue Band Sticky Fingers Middlesbrough

After a little break away from the blogging scene I’m back to share a fab local band for you to check out. A couple of weeks ago I finally got to watch my best friend’s fiance live in action doing what he loves. He’s a drummer in a fantastic band called Two Blue Band. I think it’s so cool to be able to say one of my friends is in a band, that automatically makes me cool too, right? Anyway, one Saturday night we popped down to Sticky Fingers on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough to give the band a listen and have a few drinks.  View Post

Dovecot Middlesbrough

Today I’ve got another local gem for you all that I’m sure you’re going to love! One of the latest businesses to open its doors to the North East is Dovecot Bar which is located on Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough. Situated across the road from the ever-popular duo of streets – Baker Street and Bedford Street, Dovecot is in a prime location for a couple of drinks with your friends on an evening. Boasting Middlesbrough’s longest bar and 40 different gins to choose from, it’s a newfound haven for anyone who loves a socialable gin and tonic. Although I’m yet to visit Dovecot on a bustling evening, I have been a couple of times during its first month of opening to sample their food menu and it’s definitely one to try!  View Post
