Gym kit - Realistic Fitness Goals and Tips on How to Start your own Fitness Journey

Since starting a career which requires me to spend long periods of time sitting at a desk, working out has really helped me to stay active, relieve stress and keep in shape. During 2016 I managed to achieve and maintain a body shape I’m relatively happy with. No one’s ever completely satisfied with the way that they look but I’m definitely the most body confident I’ve ever been. With a new year comes a new perspective, I don’t like to set resolutions so instead I’m going to set some realistic goals for me to work towards in 2017.  View Post

ParkRun Stewart Park

Last month I decided I needed a new focus in my life. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved to have a goal to keep me focused and give me purpose. After hearing about parkrun, a weekly event that hosts timed 5km runs for free across the world, I decided it was time to step out of the gym and head down to my local park for a run in the autumn sunshine. As a complete newbie to long distance running, I thought I’d share my experience with you. View Post

BodyPower 2016

At the weekend me and Ross attended our first BodyPower expo. Travelling 170 miles to the NEC in Birmingham, we had VIP tickets for the Saturday and Sunday of the three-day event. BodyPower is the UK’s biggest fitness expedition with over 90,000 fitness enthusiasts in attendance over the three days. Jam-packed with health and fitness exhibitors, workout areas, demonstrations, national competitions and a whole lot more, there was so much to see and do during our time there. As well as talking about what we got up to, I’m also sharing some tips if you’re thinking about attending BodyPower next year.  View Post

I haven’t written a fitness post for a while now even though it has been at the forefront of my life lately. Since my bargain gymwear haul, I’ve been making changes and setting more goals for 2016. After becoming more accustomed to Snapchat (thanks for the tutorial Zoe!), I’ve started to follow some fitness profiles which have really inspired me to reach for greater things fitness wise.  View Post

Sports Bras | Bargain Gym Wear Haul

These days I get more excited about buying new gym gear than I do normal clothes. I’ve started to spend a lot more time in the gym lately and try to go every chance I get, after all, summer bodies are made in the winter, right? I’m a real Nike girl at heart which means buying gym stuff can turn out quite expensive. With me saving up spending money for my next holiday (Thursday – eek!), I’ve been tightening my budget and opting for some cheaper pieces to add to my ever-growing gym collection.
