NYC Cosmetics

Last Wednesday saw the arrival of NYX Cosmetics at Boots in Middlesbrough town centre. Although I’ve not tried anything from the Californian brand before, I’ve seen plenty of positive reviews making the rounds on social media; particularly on the lip products and the HD finishing powder. When I heard NYX were making their way to Boots in The Mall at Middlesbrough, I decided to use up some of the Boots points I had saved to treat myself. View Post

Perfect Mani

I love painting my nails and it’s a rare sight if you ever see them bare. Like many other girls, I love to get my nails done professionally but sometimes my money just doesn’t stretch that far. With that in mind, I’ve been trying to master the perfect DIY mani. Today I’m sharing some of my top tips for a long-lasting, low maintenance manicure from the comfort of your own home.   View Post

Lush Bath Spring Haul

My Lush bath stash has been getting low recently due to the copious amounts of baths I’ve been having during this cold spell. As a result, I decided to treat myself to some goodies from the new spring collection at my local store. I could easily get carried away in Lush so I gave myself a spending limit of £25 which was a nice amount to pick up some of my favourites and try a few new bath bombs and bubble bars.  View Post

Spectrum Siren Makeup Brushes

Oh my. At long last, I’ve got my hands on these dreamy mermaid-esque brushes. I dare you to say these aren’t the prettiest makeup brushes you have ever seen? I’ll admit, before I’d even give them a good feel to see if they were up to the job of helping me apply my make-up, I knew I just had to have them. Luckily, these Spectrum makeup brushes are even better in the flesh!  View Post

Cloud Nine Magical Quick Dry Potion Hair Care

I’ve recently got back into swimming and although I’m really enjoying it, the chlorine has really taken its toll on my hair. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been attempting to get my hair back in tip-top condition after the chlorine has savaged it; I started using a new shampoo and conditioner, bought a conditioning hair mask and finally decided to try out this ‘miracle’ spray by Cloud Nine. I’ve had my eye on the magical quick dry potion since I got a set of wide iron straighteners by Cloud Nine for my birthday but I had my doubts that the product wouldn’t live up to its fantasy name and the price of the full size version wasn’t worth the risk (£17.95 for 200ml).  View Post
